Some links on LetSorted are affiliate links. If you use one to buy a certificate, a cover plan or a service, we may receive a referral fee — at no extra cost to you. You never pay more for going through us.

How you can tell

We do not expect you to take this on trust or to remember it. Every monetised link on the site is marked where you meet it:

  • Partner blocks inside articles carry a visible “Ad” label stating that we may earn a referral fee.
  • The partner logos on our homepage sit under a disclosure line, and the section is labelled as paid placement.
  • Every affiliate link is tagged rel="sponsored" in the page code, which is the standard machine-readable marker search engines use.

Through the Awin affiliate network

Awin is a third-party affiliate network that tracks referrals and pays commission on qualifying purchases. Our arrangements with the following partners run through it:

  • EPC Certificates — EPCs, Gas Safety certificates, EICRs and other compliance certificates.
  • Domestic Appliance Guard — boiler and home emergency cover.
  • Smart Cover — boiler and home emergency cover.

Direct arrangements

  • RentGuarantor — a professional guarantor service. This one is a direct referral arrangement with the company, not an Awin one. Using a guarantor service is always the tenant's choice and is never a condition of a tenancy we are involved in.

We will add to this list before a new partner goes live, not after.

What money does not buy

No partner pays us to be recommended, and no partner sees or approves our articles before they are published. Our compliance guidance — what the law requires, what the deadlines are, what the penalties are — is written from the legislation and from gov.uk, and a commercial relationship does not change a word of it.

Where we compare products, including against our own, we say so plainly. Our property management software comparison opens by telling you we built one of the tools in it, and names competitors that are a better fit than us for certain landlords.

We also do not have an affiliate arrangement with every provider we mention. Where we name a service and earn nothing from it, that is because we think it is the right answer.
