RentGuarantor: Our Recommended Guarantor Partner
LetSorted has partnered with RentGuarantor. What a professional guarantor service is, who pays for it, and why it is always the tenant's choice.
What this means for landlords
When a tenant screening result comes back as Fair, Poor, or Needs Review, the let isn't necessarily dead. A professional guarantor service is one route some tenants use: the service acts as the guarantee, on whatever terms its own policy documents set out.
This is a paid partnership: LetSorted may receive a referral fee if a tenant signs up through the links below. Going through our link does not change what RentGuarantor charges. See our affiliate disclosure for every arrangement we have.
LetSorted has partnered with RentGuarantor as our recommended guarantor provider. RentGuarantor acts as a UK-based guarantor for tenants who don't have a suitable personal guarantor — covering students, new arrivals, self-employed tenants, and others who may fall short on traditional affordability checks.
How it works
When you run a tenant screening check and the result is borderline, LetSorted will surface an optional suggestion pointing to RentGuarantor. The tenant can explore the service directly — it is never a condition of the tenancy and entirely up to them.
The same suggestion appears in the add-tenant flow on your property dashboard, giving you visibility of the option when onboarding a new tenant.
For a deeper look at when a guarantor makes sense and how to screen them properly, see the full guarantor guide for UK landlords.
Important: this is always optional
Using a guarantor service is entirely the tenant's choice. Under the Tenant Fees Act 2019, landlords cannot require tenants to use a specific service. LetSorted surfaces the option as a helpful suggestion — nothing more.
Using this service is completely optional.
