Every email LetSorted sends to a tenant — rent reminders, inspection reports and reminders, agreement signing requests, maintenance updates — is now sent only when you have said it should be. That choice is recorded on each tenancy, with the date you made it.

What you'll see. On every tenancy page there is a line, "Emails to the tenant", showing the address on file and two choices: turn emails on, or keep them off. For existing tenancies it starts as not set, which works the same as off: nothing is sent until you choose.

The "Emails to the tenant" line on a tenancy page, not yet set: it shows the address emails would go to, and the two choices, "Turn emails on" and "Keep emails off".

While emails are off. Controls that would email the tenant — sending an inspection report, requesting a signature on an agreement — are shown as unavailable, with the reason, so you always know what LetSorted did not send. You can still finish an inspection as your own record and upload an agreement that was signed elsewhere.

An inspection page: the "Send to tenant" button is unavailable, with the reason shown beneath it, and "Finish without sending" is available.

Changing the tenant. If the tenant's email address on a tenancy changes, the choice resets to not set and you are asked again.

Nothing changes for tenants who already receive emails from you outside LetSorted. If anything is unclear, reply to this email or write to [email protected].
